JXL069 is a potent and selective inhibitor of the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC). By blocking pyruvate transport into mitochondria, JXL069 shifts cells from oxidative metabolism toward glycolysis, altering the cellular energy balance. In preclinical research models, this metabolic shift has been linked to activation of hair follicle stem cells and enhanced hair cycling, making JXL069 a compound of interest in studies focused on regenerative pathways, alopecia models, and cellular metabolism.
